The debate over ultra-processed foods is taking momentum and is set to become even bigger if Governments would step in to introduce regulations.
The question remain in the need to differentiate between the role of food processing and health outcome, versus other aspects, such as the portions and frequencies of consumption and nutritional composition/profiling of food.
What is the science consensus regarding the role of UPF in obesity and health? What are the implications food manufacturing? How are brands and retailers engaging on the debate? How are consumers navigating through new ultra-processed foods debate?
