Leire Arantzamendi

Leire Arantzamendi holds both her Bachelor’s and PhD in Marine Sciences at ULPGC, an International MSc in Aquaculture (ULPGC/CIHEAM) and an MSc in Circular Economy: Industry Application (EHU/UPV). Since 2010, she has contributed to AZTI’s aquaculture research, advancing circular economy through validating alternative fish feed ingredients and biobased ropes for seaweed and mussel farming. She coordinated the BIOGEARS project to drive aquaculture decarbonization and now leads WP7 in TRANSEATION, testing biobased ropes in low trophic aquaculture.
