Ru Wikmann is the founder and CEO of Colmenio, a precision apiculture company using IoT sensing and AI to ease beekeepers’ workloads while deepening humanity’s understanding of bees. Colmenio’s multimodal hive sensing infrastructure enables managing colonies remotely, supports apidology research, strengthens honey traceability, and provides early warnings of risks such as colony loss. Founded from Latvian-Dutch roots, Colmenio recently established operations in Bilbao.
