Rafael Herena , CEO and Founder of Blueming Biotech, is a Marine Scientist and Biotechnologist. From 2011 to 2014, he completed a Leonardo Da Vinci fellowship and worked as a biotechnologist in the Netherlands until 2014, when he began a European Research Council (ERC) PhD student scholarship at the WIT (Ireland). In 2017, he served as R&D Manager at M.M.C. B.V. until 2020. He has published 5 patents, and his latest academic publication was in January 2022 in “Scientific Reports” by Nature.
