Mónica de Prado

Mrs. Mónica de Prado Paniagua graduated as a food technologist in 1994 (University of the Basque Country) and worked as a researcher in several international research institutions (VTT, Finland and Teagasc, Ireland) and in NEIKER (Basque Country) as International Projects Unit Coordinator.

She is currently Research Projects coordinator in ELIKA, Basque Food Safety Public Foundation of the Basque Government, coordinating the participation of European and Basque projects and networks in the

field of Food Safety such as ERANETs (PERIAPT, SAFEFOODERA, SUSAN) and at the present, FUTUREFOODS, European partnership for a sustainable Future of Food Systems. ELIKA also has experience in participating in European Food Waste Projects, such as FOODRUS, FOLOU and GUSTOS.
