Open Food Chain
Marieke de Ruyter de Wildt

After receiving a Masters in Agricultural Economics from Wageningen University, she worked on farm data for over 15 years, in more than 40 countries.

At Wageningen University she fulfilled several management positions and became director of AgriPlace. During this time, blockchain technology matured and she concluded that it addressed key challenges in agrifood: data ownership and data integrity.

This is when she founded Open Food Chain, a blockchain-based traceability solution for future-proof food systems. OFC improves data integrity, solves data ownership issues, and ensures the integrity of our food systems.
