Femke Aers

Femke Aers is a bioengineer at ILVO’s Marine Department, analyzing fuel use in the Belgian fishing fleet with VISTools data, a system for monitoring and visualizing fisheries activities. She coordinates the ‘Fishing Vessel of the Future’ project, identifying key drivers of fuel consumption and proposing solutions. Femke also helps improve VISTools Analytics, making complex data visually understandable for vessel owners.
