Cristóbal Valdés

Cristóbal Valdés Guinea, who holds a law degree and a diploma in economics from the University of Deusto (Bilbao) and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, has an outstanding international career. He began his career at companies such as Carrefour Spain and Leroy Merlin, holding strategic positions such as Director of Purchasing, and at the Adeo Group in France, where he served as International Product Director. He later led Bergé Marítima as CEO and served as Vice President of ANESCO. He has chaired Venanpri Tools, led Jealsa Corporación Alimentaria, and assumed the role of CEO at Grupo Alvic in 2023. He currently serves on the boards of Meliá and Tubos Reunidos, and since November 2024, he has been CEO of Deoleo, the world’s largest olive oil company, with leading brands such as Bertolli, Carapelli, and Carbonell. He is leading a new phase of global growth for the company, with a firm commitment to quality, innovation, sustainability, and consumer engagement.
