Research Professor at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. His work focuses on developing and validating thermal and non-thermal food preservation processes, especially microbial inactivation, predictive microbiology, and microbiological risk assessment and President of the food safety working group at Foo for Life. He has served on EFSA and AESAN scientific panels and worked as an international consultant in Latin America for USAID and the EU. He is currently a member of ELIKA’s scientific committee.
