R&D&I at the service of sustainability in the ready to eat sector

Nomen Foods’ sustainability plan addresses the circular economy in all existing areas. In terms of packaging, and after four years of R&D, it has launched ‘Calidad1Minuto’, the world’s first ready-to-eat rice packaged in a reusable glass format. At the same time, the company has made the transition to packaging with paper from sustainable forests and the reduction of packaging material, thanks to innovations linked to reductions in thickness, the elimination of double unitary packaging and a plan to unify packaging dimensions.
